Michelle Park

Outreach Director

Bio: Michelle Park, a 16-year-old student at Palo Alto High School, began playing the trumpet at the age of 10. She has been a member of her school band for eight years and has played in a jazz band for five years. In 2024, she won second prize at the International Trumpet Guild competition and has received three consecutive major international awards at events such as the International Trumpet Guild Conferences. Notably, she was awarded the Streitwieser Scholarship in the Youth Competition in 2022 in San Antonio, Texas, followed by the ITG Legacy Fund Scholarship in 2023 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the Warburton Scholarship in 2024 in Anaheim, California. Additionally, she was a finalist in the National Trumpet Competition held in Kingsville, Texas.

Michelle also plays in the Golden State Youth Orchestra and has been selected for the All-State Junior High School Jazz Ensemble in 2022, as well as the Santa Clara Honor Band in 2023. In 2024, she performed in a High School All-State ensemble.
