Bio: Matthew Tran is a sophomore at Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose, California, who is deeply passionate about music and community service. His musical journey began at the age of eight with piano lessons and later expanded his skills to include the trumpet. Matthew’s musical interests are diverse, spanning contemporary, classical, romantic, and jazz music.

Matthew has achieved notable success in his musical endeavors. He earned second prize at the 19th Century Charleston International Music Competition for Piano and is currently working towards the Certificate of Merit Level 9. His trumpet skills are equally impressive, shown through his participation in Bellarmine's Symphonic Band and Advanced Jazz Ensemble.

Matthew’s commitment to music extends beyond personal enjoyment. He plays piano for his church’s youth mass every weekend and performs for the elderly at senior centers, bringing comfort and joy through his performances. In addition to his musical interests, he is actively involved in Boy Scouts and is diligently working towards earning the Eagle rank, demonstrating his dedication to service and leadership.

Looking ahead, Matthew dreams of pursuing a career in healthcare. He aims to make a positive impact on people's lives by integrating his passion for music, community service, and scouting to support and care for others in a meaningful way.
